Overview

Payments is a simple, clean tool for recording and tracking every financial transaction tied to your project — whether it's been paid, received, or is still pending. It keeps your whole team accountable and gives you a live snapshot of where your project's finances stand at any moment. You can also download the full log as a CSV whenever you need it.

Found in: Studio → Payments → Payments

Recording a Payment

  1. Open your project in Studio.

  2. Go to the Payments tab.

  3. Click Payments (as distinct from Options).

  4. Click Add Payment.

  5. Fill in the details:

    • Description — what this payment is for

    • Amount & Currency

    • Vendor / Company — who is paying or being paid

    • Payment Date

    • Status — Pending or Paid

    • Receipt — attach a receipt document to the record

  6. Save the payment.

Your Payments Dashboard

Once you've saved payments, the dashboard gives you an at-a-glance financial summary:

  • Total Paid — all completed payments

  • Total Pending — payments still outstanding

  • Total Project Payments — the full amount across all transactions

Managing Individual Payments

For each payment record you can:

  • Mark as Paid — update status once a payment clears

  • Mark as Follow-Up — flags the payment and automatically creates a Task so it doesn't slip

  • Edit any detail at any time

  • Delete a record if needed

Exporting Your Payments Log

  1. From the Payments tab, click Download.

  2. Your full payments log downloads as a CSV file, ready for excel.

Tip: Log payments as they happen rather than in batches — a real-time record is far easier to reconcile than reconstructing transactions from memory at the end of a quarter.
